Whilst the Gardens remain closed for the time-being; the plants are of course all now starting to grow again and there are still plenty of jobs to be done, to stop the Gardens becoming overgrown and derelict, until their future management can be sorted-out.
With that in mind; the Gardens are trying to build a pool of volunteers – initially to help with maintaining the gardens – but possibly later, to assist in various roles, once they can be re-opened. A schedule of works has been drawn-up and all that is needed now, are the people!
If you are able to spare a couple of hours to join one of the weekly working-groups on a fairly regular basis, we would love to hear from you. No payment can be offered, of course; but there will certainly be good and like-minded company and deeply-rewarding work, helping to maintain these magnificent and truly unique gardens.
To register your interest in volunteering at the Gardens; please send us your details on the form below – which will be forwarded to volunteer organiser for the Gardens.
Please also make sure that you sign-up for membership of FoYOG and our mailing list (which is separate to the Garden volunteers’ list) here.
